Burda Tara (aka 7930)

OK - so the question is, for a colder climate, raise the neckline and lengthen the sleeves - how to?....can it be done?

I'm of the opinion that just about anything (if it doesn't defy gravity), can be done, but will it look good?  That's the real question.  I think this little top has a lot going for it, and am not really up for messing with the style too much....so here's what I'd do.

I would lengthen the sleeves, and keep them wider at the bottom to keep with the style of the top.

And yeah, raise the neckline a little - but I like the neckline here, and would only raise it a little....

See - I think this works really well.

Good luck nikkishell

What a find - intro to burdastyle.com

Burdastyle
Burdastyle.com is a cool site that relishes and encourages creativity.  For a long time - those of us who sew - have known the creativity that is contained in one pattern envelope.  Burda Style promotes and really tries to get the most out of all those patterns.

With the "homogenization" of the major American Pattern companies, I have for a long time been a fan of Burda patterns.  I take Burda magazine, and it's always a banner day when the magazine shows up in the mail.  Sometimes, I think they aren't as good some issues as others, then go back and look at them again, and it's like I didn't see anything the first time!

Now to find a site that appreciates and nourishes all those wonderful patterns.  What a find!
