No one does pomp and pagentry better than the British - No one!
And when it's a happy event it's all the more beautiful, and pagentry done well is always beautiful!
From Buildings.....
....to tradition....
...to churches....
...to ceremonies....
...to military garb...
...to tailoring (look at those lines...that detail)...
...to transportation...
...all of it is done with such grandeur and tradition. I know that isn't the grandest thing these days, but this is one of the things I enjoyed the most about this morning...that and of course the fashion, and lots going on with that!
Yes indeed. I did not get up for the live viewing of the pageant but the first thing I did when I did get up was to turn on the TV. Lovely dress on the bride and the maid of honor. We will be treated to wedding coverage for the next several hours.

I didn't watch any of the wedding and am only now catching up with the event on sewing blogs :)) Her dres was truly lovely and it appears there was some fine outfits worn on this day. I must go bring myself up to date ;))

I did enjoy seeing all the jacket/coats/dresses. I enjoyed your commentary. Do you know how the cowl neckline on Kate's sister was done? It appeared like there was dress under the collar when she moved. Usually, with a cowl neckline with forward movement--things are seen that aren't meant to be seen!
