New Classes have been set up for the summer months. I'm doing two-day classes every month for the summer as we can get a lot done in two days.
The schedule is like this (I love pictures and it's so much easier!)
The fun thing about what I'm doing this summer is opening my whole cadre of info..
if you want to do a mannequin, do that;
if you want pants pattern, fine;
if you want to refashion a jacket, let's go for it;
if you want to alter a pattern, sounds good to me;
if you're stuck on a project or have a UFO, bring it on;
if you want to learn fine tailoring techniques, it's your choice.
The fun thing about doing it this way is that everyone gets to learn from each other's projects. Everyone gets an exchange of ideas, lessons learned, general info and all sorts of fun things like this. This is how my teacher taught and I loved it. It the maximum bang for your buck and just too much fun to sew this way!
You can sign up at the local Bernina store 405.840.8911, and if you need some ideas, just email me and I'll be happy to give you a ton of ideas of what we can do in class!
These are perfect types of classes. When everyone is working on something different you get a lot of great ideas for future projects and you can certainly learn something along the way.
Wish I was closer I would participate :)))

Neat!!! I only live seven hours away (Bastrop, TX)!!! I believe it would be worth the drive just to meet you!!!! I've purchased a Uniquely You dressform but haven't set it up yet.
Sounds like we need to take a family road trip!

These classes are designed that if you live out of town to be consolidated enough that if you want to drive in for a couple of days and take the classes you can. I haven't specified anything exactly, which means I'll be teaching anything you want to learn. If you're not sure what you need or just need some ideas - email me, and I have a list of great "cost-effective" hotels in the neighborhood, restaurants and directions to and from the shop. It's amazing what you can get done in two days. With all my students, if you have a goal, I'm going to do my best to get you to the completion of that goal before the class is over. So ask away if you're out of town.

OK, Claire. I'm making plans. Where can I find the class cost? I'm going to drag my husband along so I'll need suggestions to keep him busy for the 2 days too. I'm interested in fitting.
