This is the definitive download and assemblage page for the DRRD
After reworking the pattern, here is the latest and greatest version of this pattern. And here is the assembling instructions, although it goes together fairly easily.
Note: this is from my photography website, so don't be put off if you're directed to another location. It's just downloading.
Also, the file works best if you download it and then open it in a pdf reader (I prefer Foxit - it's lean & mean!), and then print it out.
Here are some variations to the DRRD:
- The ties can be longer so that it is easier to tie - possibly in a bow
- The tail (middle piece) can be extended so that girls with long hair have a pocket to carry it.
- Sizing: Try adding or subtracting from the seams, realizing that you may have to "fudge" a little on the markings on the pattern. It should work, but don't be surprised if the markings don't match exactly.
Here's a pict of how to finish this off if it helps:It's easier if you turn up the seam between the ties & tail, then turn the tail, then turn the inside tie, bottom of tie and then last the outside tie piece.
Hopefully this makes sense, and if you have any questions, just contact me here.
Enjoy! Claire
